Opening from disk

To open a repository from disk, select the  Open Repository option from the welcome screen, or select  Open Repository CTRLO from the menu. On a Mac, go to File > Open Repository.

You will be asked to select the folder where the Git repository resides.

If you choose a folder where there is no Git repository, you will be asked if you want to initialise a new Git repository there.
